Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Bronze, 18 mm, 3.14 g, 6 h), Rome, 318-319. CONSTAN-TINVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. PAX P-E-R-PETVA / P - R / RS Pax standing front, head to left and legs crossed, holding olive branch in her right hand and transverse scepter in her left, leaning with left elbow on column. RIC 143. Very rare. A spectacular example of this impressive issue, with a beautiful portrait. Minor corrosion and with light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
